If one steps over on to hitchhiking track, he starts hitchhiking further down the spiral! Taking city's beast, its hatching - a car to escape from City flowing into the country. Escaping city by means of city. As for me I started searching for some QUIET QUIET place and variety. Variety well - buses and cars inhabit all cities and towns and pigeons - I can't tell them from flying pieces of concrete - they are of same color - their necks look like oil on the water - filthy rainbow - yuck. I haven't seen a bison, I know thousands hues of grey, know hundreds styles of noise but I want the taste all flavors of air and hear silence of desert and silence of pine forest and silence of.. Wait, the police comes my way... Passed away. Still no signs of cars when I, stoned, crossed the railway tracks - city shines behind my back like northern lights - still I feel nothing majestic. Wait, someone is going to pick me up.

They put me to the back seat between napping mid-aged man and somewhat greyish young-looking guy with the loudspeaker on his lap. Had not seen the face of driver - only eyes in back mirror. The man on drivers right was quite fearsome and looked like he had accumulated all physical force of all three. They looked a bit occupied and spoke unknown language - some slavic I guess. Now I stand knee deep in grass topped with all kind of fireflies that are so numerous that they meld with stars and try to recollect all the details of my journey here in this mysterious car. The driver asked me to wake the older man who to wore bow tie under m-65 jacket. He cleaned his throat and took the loudspeaker. He stands up through the hatch in car rooftop and begins to speak. VORONA DROZD BELOBROVIK MEDVED BEKAS and after every word the woods around us seem to resonate oddly. We left the woods in silence.
3.
They put me out near some kind of school at night. Through the corridor I go and see huge dormitory filled with sleeping kids of all ages. Some distant piano sounds echoed from faraway music class until loud slam softened sounds. I flowed silently as a ghost through these corridors and saw different TV classes taught to sleeping kids - spelling, maths even P.E and children were smiling in their sleep and murmuring answers and signing or chanting along with tutors from their sleep. I slowly went through back door to a big sunset-filled garden. Sun was flowing through the branches as some cleansing liquid which for a moment paused me.
4.
Ghost Ferry 05:55
I woke up by the loud foghorn and some distant voices and cracks. The round window of ferry I board was curtainless so I could not resist dimmed light which was radiating through thick fog. Ferry started its movement and ghosts of rock and small islands inhabited only by birds slowly passed by me. Puzzled I looked through the thinning fog and I was astonished. Every small rock island - white in the grey water had is own reflection in the sky - symmetrical and cloud-like pieces hanged above every island like reflection! This magnificent picture ended when I found myself standing in the midst of a crown boarding off the ferry to enter the port. They pushed me badly, orchestras in the speakers melded causing me pain. The M.agnificent M.irroring I.slands were GONE!
5.
Ensign Song 04:27
As the door of warehouse closed the man in uniform began to sing: when I leave you for the sea (see) someone else will replace me (mean) clothes and etc. etc. Then everything collapsed.
6.
Sun shone through gaps in stable ceiling - we chose our horses and started our ride. My second or third ride ever it seemed both pleasant and difficult. Road CURVED AND CURED AND CURVED through the thinning woods and... two great pianists took their seats near pianos to battle against each other for their super states. Polished wood of podium and pianos glittered. Monocles and clean shaved heads of both maestros glittered too. Nurse heels echoed. Head was heavy.
7.
Escaped! 06:10
I threw the shoe to the nasty radio and slid through the window - trimmed bushes of asylum's english park were not so hospitable as its beds so I ran as hell through parks turning groves turning woods turning dire woods. When euphoria was gone I realized I was lost.
8.
Woods Scare 07:12
Long branches, no light... distant sounds of procession... Wild Hunt... Choir of druids... Or someone else... dogs barking mother tree
9.
The goal was to free the tree spirits from big tower by collapsing it ... Spirits and voices trapped there were singing angrily CAUSE the could not sing. I do not remember how I reached the top... My antenna has ONE HUNDRED WATTS THE NAME IS GALINA GOLF GOLF ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA LIMA LIMA ITALY ITALY NOVEMBER NOVEMBER ALPHA ALPHA MIKE MIKE SIX PAPA DELTA! MIKE MIKE SIX PAPA DELTA!
10.
Woods Soothe 05:50
Dobroye utro! I came back for reward and was rewarded by forest with further directions of my voyage. Safe passage granted! I continue!
11.
The Last dwelling of the man - antenna worshippers cult camp - steam from giant food cauldrons prayers to old antennas towering above tallest pines. The Rites began and I collapsed again.
12.
As dreams directed again I had to meet wolf pack near a big rock in field and follow them cross the border. If I stand on my all FOURS border guards would not shoot me - I would look like wolf, doubtless.
13.
I finish here and now. As I finish these words I will go down to the bottom and center of giant field covered with leaves. It looks like SINK kitchen sink in the middle there is a black hole - and everything is vortexxxing - birds are doing circles, wind is circling also. And it is time for me now - I know on the other side I will appear in rose and continue my journey.

about

This is our first album that was released September 1, 2012 on Time Released Sound: timereleasedsound.com/releases/night-shift/

It was started as a collaboration with our finnish friend and former label-mate Olli Aarni (ex-Ous Mal, Noujuva, Lichen Gumbo) we met in 2009. It took two years to record and master the album and one more to release it.

You still can buy your own Digipack version here for $14: timereleasedsound.com/shop/releases/night-shift-trespassers-guide-to-nowhere-picture-sleeve-version/
